How we work

We aim to empower the bullied, the broken, the healing, and the peripheral, to dare to be seen, heard, and get as much from life as possible, because it’s possible. To achieve this, we prioritise broadcasting the voices and images of persons from disadvantaged groups.

To us, meaningful content refers to creations that deeply resonate with their intended audience by providing consumption value beyond surface-level engagement. By focusing on quality over quantity, we guarantee that our products and services exceed customer expectations for meaningful design and expression.

Scalability

Ours is a deliberate and sustainable growth model that focuses on depth i.e., quality and long-term value over breadth i.e., rapid expansion. If we’re going to do something, we prefer to do it right, and this takes time and sensitivity. Since meaning is a universal need, this start-up explores the business model of a production company that addresses the demand for meaningful content within the vast, saturated landscape of social media and digital products/services for marginalised persons.

What we practice:

✔ We practice ethical sourcing by using web hosting providers with sustainable infrastructures such as Amazon Web Services and Squarespace

✔ We minimise excessive AI usage through organic or traditional creative methods such Microsoft Software for literary creations, and Adobe products for illustrations.

✔ Our downloadable products will be efficiently compressed to optimise images, videos, and audio to reduce storage and bandwidth usage.

✔ We have a minimalist web design to alleviate bloated code and server overload. This is to also reduce overwhelming processing for our impaired customers that use screen readers.

Gamu Studios is committed to making a positive social impact and maintaining sustainable practices, which is consistent with the founder’s philosophy as a disabled artist and social justice researcher that belongs to several marginalised groups.
